(wisdom is above knowledge)ittehad-e-ummat
Wisdom is above knowledge
Instead of complaining about the um-mat situation, we should think, what we can do for this um-mat, how we can contribute in this mission?, remember our contribution is an artificial thing but the help will come from one and only one ALLAH and we need to contribute for our self because DEEN will flourish even without our contribution. Everyone in this world who is serving the um-mat in different manners, we all should contribute to them and appreciate their efforts and may be two works have entirely different orientations but unless until their practices are within the fold of Islam then its completely fine.
We know that sectarianism is a big hurdle in the path of ittehad e ummat, but sometime I feel it is a blessing in disguise, when we look different main stream sects in Islam, we find that they are focusing of certain branches of DEEN and preserving those branches very effectively. Examples someone is focusing on original texts that is Quran and Hadith, someone is focusing on Fiqh and Azmante Sahaba, someone is focusing towards the love of Prophet Muhammad (SAW) and love of Auliyah Allah, someone is focusing on love towards Ahle-Bait and so on. Interesting and satisfactory part is that all are following every branches of DEEN but they have their own specialization as well, nobody is denying for any branch but they have inclined much towards particular aspect of DEEN. When I say someone is focusing on particular branch then, it does not mean that they are leaving other aspects.
If someone really wants to works on ittehad-e-ummat and wants to remove sectarianism, then he should not work towards eliminating the sects or criticizing different sects, by doing this, person will create or form a new sect in Islam. Unknowingly, he will get trapped in sectarianism, because there is a rule in correcting someone, the rule is - unless until the person whom you are going to correct does not have Aqeedat with you, he will not get convinced by you and sometime you will not be able to correct that person, its a human nature that people even reject right things from opposite party. Because sometime when you correct someone and he does not have Aqeedat with you, then may be his ego gets hurt on certain issues (because everyone wants to see himself in a positive light, its human tendency) and if someone's ego gets hurt then for the entire life you will not be able to get him convinced even about the right things. You have to make them believe and feel that you are from among them, and you are talking to them just for their own benefits. We have examples like Shah Wali Ullah Dehlvi (RH).
This Ummat needs a person or group of persons or institution who does not belong to a particular sect but every sect wants to associate with that body and every sect somewhere gets agree with their ideologies and believes. It is completely possible to have a body like this, because the core of Islam is same for each main stream sects, if we focus on the core of Islam primarily then give spaces to others within the scope of Islam(that is without compromising the basics of Islam), then we can have this opportunity to bring the Ittehad e ummat.
Eliminating the sects is not the solution, we should ask each and every sect to move at least one step ahead for the sake of Unity of Ummat, let us agree to disagree on certain issues which are not core of Islam. Unless until a particular sect will continue to believe that they are the ultimate truth and they expect others to take first step, ittehad is not possible. Everyone has to take first step initially to bring this dream into reality. We do not want to bring the whole ummat under one umbrella but to bring the ummat on core of Islam and create a sense that every MUSLIM is MUSLIM.
